In addition to the database-driven features, the Sharp Menu System has a sophisticated security system. It has the capability to handle at least one hundred users and hundreds of functions. There are three types of security:
Level security is the simplest to implement. Each function and user is assigned a level from 0 to 9. A user may access a function with the same level or lower.
User list security involves listing specifically which functions a user may execute. The Sharp Menu System provides powerful grouping tools, making it easy to add users and add functions to existing user lists per function.
Finally, exception security allows administrators to grant temporary or password permission to users for designated functions. For a specific function and user, administrators may specify a starting and ending date and time, or supply a password, or both. This is ideal for situations when employees are on vacation.
